The Hissing Light

The stench of syrup haunts the sand
Quench the cantaloupe,
with nothing planned
Stir the stem of comet glow
And hurry past a spaceship show

A moonbeam shakes me wide awake
Takes me to release my ache
Rocket fuel soon lit the night
For a valley under hissing light

The magic cures my gradients
The Science lures my radiance
But sulfur swirls abandon me
And cast away reluctantly

The hissing light I heard before
Ignited from beneath my floor
Fuming out and tracing air
It funneled into solitaire

A moonbeam shakes me wide awake
Takes me to release my ache
Rocket fuel soon lit the night
For a valley under hissing light

Twisting fingers knit in place
Kissing through a quiet gaze
Sift the lips and switch both ways
Just grasp this moment 'till it stays
